This position is under the supervision or in collaboration with practice physicians, involved in the care of individuals, families and patient groups who are dealing with cancer or other related diagnosis. This care may be in clinic or virtually, via telemedicine. Responsibilities may include duties related to prevention, screening, and patient care. May serve as direct caregiver, health care consultant, or patient educator. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards and requirements. Supports and adheres to the MO Cancer Associates Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. This position is full-time (7:30-4, Monday – Friday) and located at Missouri Cancer Associates, 1705 E Broadway, Columbia, MO. Call Requirements include 1 night per week. Missouri Cancer Associates is affiliated with Urology Associates of Central Missouri and the US Oncology Network! Responsibilities Assesses, plans,implements,and evaluates care for patients. Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family responseandprescribes therapiesas indicated. Performs procedureswith minimal supervision. Assesses patient/family needs and provides education. Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs. Solidknowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements. Completes patient chargecapture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion. Mayprovide palliative care for the patient and their families as needed. Maypromote/provide staff education Other duties as assigned Qualifications Mastersof Sciencein Nursing (MSN) fromanaccredited nursingschooland successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.This position typically requiresaminimumof 3yearsofexperience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably inthe chosen specialty. RN state licensureand current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure asaNurse Practitioner. AOCNP preferred.Currentbasic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
