JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Nursing, the Student Success Coordinator manages the Nursing Enrichment and Tutoring Center (NET), coordinates scheduling of tutors and mentors, facilitates management of undergraduate and graduate cohorts, identification and management of academically at-risk students. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages the day to day operations of the Nursing Enrichment and Tutoring (NET) Center Works closely with the undergraduate and graduate level coordinators to ensure at-risk students are identified and receive ongoing tutoring and support Works closely with the Skills/Sim lab coordinator to ensure students have opportunity to practice necessary skills in the NET Manages any supplemental instructional offerings in conjunction with the COSH requirements In conjunction with the Associate Dean, evaluates NCLEX pass rates as well as Certificate pass rates to ensure curricular alignment and program offerings as needed Serves on the Curriculum Committee as well as the Academic Standards Committee to ensure alignment of services at the undergraduate and graduate levels Hires, orients, trains, and supervises nursing student tutors and mentors as appropriate Develops and recommends an appropriate budget for all activities supervised Gathers and reviews data on student response to NET activities each semester and initiates new programs as indicated Assesses undergraduate and graduate retention issues and plans interventions accordingly Serves as a resource to the Student Nurses Association Implements special projects as requested by the Associate Dean and the Chairperson i.e. assist with the arrangements for the Nursing Community Advisory Board (CAB) Directs academic support and referrals for undergraduate and graduate nursing students Provides or arranges for workshops to enhance student success for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral nursing students Performs other duties as assigned that are appropriate for the position MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required/Master’s degree in Nursing Education preferred Minimum 2 years experience in mentoring/tutoring/advising students Knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with audiovisual equipment Experience with Nursing Simulation Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed This description indicates the general nature and level of work performed by employees in the above job.
