Nurse Director Infection Prevention will report to the Chief Quality Officer, partnering closely with the Associate Chief Quality Officer and Physician Medical Directors while leading Clinical Managers and Infection Preventionists across acute, ambulatory, and post-acute sites. This role provides system governance for CMS Conditions of Participation, Joint Commission standards, and NHSN reporting, ensures survey readiness, leads outbreak response and escalation, and aligns antimicrobial stewardship with Pharmacy and Laboratory using the antibiogram and surveillance data to address resistance, while mentoring teams with APIC-aligned competencies, fostering psychological safety, and collaborating with friendly staff.
