Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled RN specializing in Telemetry to join a team in Alexandria, LA. This travel assignment offers a dynamic work environment with cardiac and telemetry patients, where nurses can practice independently and manage clinical situations efficiently. The role involves working with a nurse-patient ratio of 5:1-6:1 and does not involve a stepdown unit, with the potential for temp-to-perm transition.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Telemetry

• Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers

Requirements of the RN - Telemetry

• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA required
• RN License in the state of employment or compact
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
