Big Data Engineer
Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Big Data Engineer to join their team. As a Big Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Engineering department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data processing pipelines using Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Python, and Scala.
- Implement data ingestion, storage, transformation, and analysis solutions that are scalable, efficient, and reliable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
- Optimize and enhance existing data pipelines to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production data pipelines to ensure continuous data flow and integrity.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline with at least five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud platforms, and big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Trino.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like Java, Scala, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with AI development tools and AI workflow design.
- Strong SQL skills, including window functions, joins, and complex queries, with the ability to optimize and troubleshoot SQL code.
