GSE/Diesel Mechanic Level 1: $25.00/hr

But at the heart of our business is our people. Role Purpose This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. These vehicles include but are not limited to support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will be required to inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by following established procedures and protocols. What you will be doing Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on the refueling equipment, maintain records relating to maintenance. Ensure our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventative care to equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment. Maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures, aassuring a clean and safe working environment Hydrate electric equipment according to the Hydration Schedule Able to program and understand the functions of the Rapid Charger, including the Battery Monitor and Identification Device (BMID) Perform monthly, quarterly and annual quality control checks on the equipment Able to perform an accident inspection on involved equipment Safety, Security, Wellbeing and Compliance: You will have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
