Estimator / Project Manager

Position Summary The Estimator / Project Manager - (Steel or Ironwork) Estimating Key responsibilities regarding estimating include: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for bids and change orders Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to define scope Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and proposals Maintain historical cost data and estimating databases Participate in scope review and pricing discussions with customers Project Management Support Manage awarded projects from preconstruction through closeout Develop project schedules, erection sequences, and phasing plans Coordinate drawings, RFIs, submittals, and field communication Track labor hours, materials, equipment, and overall project costs Prepare and manage change orders and budget updates Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and field teams Field & Operations Support Coordinate closely with field supervision and ironworkers Conduct jobsite visits to monitor progress and resolve issues Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and quality standards Qualifications Required Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience Experience in construction estimating, preferably structural steel or ironwork Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and construction documents Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Valid driver's license and ability to visit jobsites Preferred Project management experience in structural or specialty construction Familiarity with Bluebeam, MS Project, AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar software OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Benefits Full health and dental insurance 401(k) with employer contribution Profit sharing program Paid time off and paid holidays Long-term career stability with a family‑owned company Work Environment Combination of office and field work Jobsite visits may include walking, climbing stairs, and wearing PPE Occasional travel to regional project sites #J-18808-Ljbffr
