Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as a School Social Worker for an early childhood and kindergarten caseload! This full-time contract role (32.5 hours per week), located near Grand Ledge, MI, runs from November 2 through early 2027. You'll play an integral part in fostering positive school experiences and contributing to the social-emotional growth of students at the start of their educational journeys.
What you'll bring:
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker Certification (must be in-hand)
- Active Michigan Social Worker License (LLMSW, LMSW, or LCSW)
- Prior experience providing support in early childhood or kindergarten settings is highly valued
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills
- A compassionate, positive, and collaborative approach to working with children, families, and school personnel
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering social work services to early childhood and kindergarten students, helping them thrive academically and personally
- Conducting evaluations and assisting with ongoing assessments to best support students’ individual needs
- Collaborating with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to create and implement effective intervention strategies
- Maintaining thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with professional and state standards
In addition to a rewarding and dynamic work environment, compensation for this contract role ranges from $42 to $48 per hour. Eligible candidates may also be entitled to healthcare benefits, as well as support for housing and meals/incidentals during the contract period.
