Shift/Hours: M-F 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

We are seeking a Laborer to join our team at our Merit Steel location in Kouts, Indiana. This role will be responsible for multiple tasks which are essential for ensuring the smooth operation and providing a safe and efficient environment.

So, what will you be doing as a Laborer?

• Keep wire drawing machines supplied with proper carriers.

• Fill propane.

• Operate and inspect Sweeper.

• Unload trucks.

• Dump barrels.

• Dispose of garbage.

• Dump scrap hoppers.

• Perform all tasks assigned by Supervisor, prioritizing safety above all else.

• Perform plant housekeeping duties as needed.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Must be organized and able to multi-task.

• Must exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Must be willing and able to adapt to different schedules.

• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.

• Interest in growing into other roles within the facility.
