Planning ManagerAt Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Planning Manager based in West Jordan, Utah!The Planning Manager owns the finished goods and raw materials schedule and replenishment plan. This role also oversees packaging and ingredient receipts to purchase orders and tracks packaging and ingredient costs to help maintain the target level of working capital.Key Responsibilities As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position:Create and manage leveled production schedule for assigned production lines using APOPrepare and release production orders and monitor each order is completed on timeConduct capacity planning for assigned production lines to meet company targetsConduct capacity planning for processing departmentEstablish and influence the use of best practices and strategic benchmarks for assessing scheduling and supply planning processesDefine and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for measuring progressDevelop training programs and development/progression plans for direct reportsDevelop strategic partnerships across the company and with third party contractors to increase overall planning efficiencyDevelop and manage cross-functional improvement strategiesLead and direct effective interactions and positive cooperation through work relationships between all levels of the organizationChampion the organization's values by leading best practices in scheduling and supply planning by supporting Safety and Quality initiativesOversee the communication of customer service delays to production schedule and forecastSupervise production planning for broader Product Supply Team, supporting process adherence, tight execution, long-term plan development and clear/timely communicationOversee the development and execution of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual (as directed) predictive schedules to determine build, purchase and resupply requirements, using SAP planning toolsSupervise/conduct the collaboration of demand planning, customer service, logistics, procurement, and production facility planners to develop/adjust required inputs for detailed production planningSupervise the scheduling and supply planning team's ability to coordinate future capacity/supply constraints (manufacturing, raw materials, packaging) affecting production by engaging stakeholders throughout the planning process and lead the development of recovery plansSupport cost reduction through effective and efficient capacity utilizationGain consensus from upstream and downstream functions on pipeline fills, customer events, or seasonal products to ensure production plans are executable and aligned with demandOther duties as assignedPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.
