Traveler Hrly Rate $28.71 Gross Wages $1,033.56 Traveler Lodging $896.00 Travel M&I $518.00 Total Travel Stipend $1,414.00 Total Travel Pkg $2,447.56 **Shift Details:** + 13 week assignment 3 12's The Registered Nurse is to be clinically competent. By utilizing the nursing process of assessment of the individual patient and procedure, the nurse is responsible for anticipating the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining a safe environment. Addresses the psychosocial and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Responsible for monitoring patient's physiological status in the pre-operative and immediate post-operative environment, interceding to maintain optimum homeostasis. Communicates with surgeon and anesthetist continuously, and as needed, about patient conditions and receives direction for patient management. Position requires individual to assume "on call" duty on a rotating basis. Call required to cover evenings, nights, weekends and Holidays. **Qualifications:** - Graduate from an accredited school or college of nursing required. - Current New Mexico license as a Registered Nurse required. - BCLS, ACLS and PALS required. - Minimum of one year of comparable experience is required. Critical Care experience preferred. - Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. **Minimum Requirements:** + **At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Registered Nurse** + Able to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of NM + A valid and current BLS card (American Heart Association) **Job Responsibilities:** + Provides general nursing care to patients. + Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques. + Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of patients. + Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents. + Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient. + May make beds, bathe, and feed patients. + May serve as leader for group of personnel rendering nursing care to number of patients. + Additional RN duties given by Supervisor.
