This contract position runs from August 26, 2026, through June 3, 2027, and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You'll be working with a small, dedicated caseload of five students in 3rd and 4th grades within an instructional classroom setting.

This position offers an excellent professional experience in a collaborative environment with clear, consistent work hours from 8:40 AM to 3:25 PM. You’ll play an essential role in supporting individualized educational growth while belonging to a committed educational team.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid and active Illinois teaching licensure and certification for Special Education
• Demonstrated school-based experience as a Special Education Teacher
• Proficiency with individualized education plans (IEPs), progress monitoring, and specialized instructional strategies
• Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and excellent communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction to a dedicated special education classroom for grades 3rd and 4th
• Develop, implement, and track IEP goals and accommodations
• Foster academic and social-emotional growth through personalized teaching approaches
• Collaborate effectively with general education staff, related services providers, and families
• Maintain a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment
