Software Field Services Engineer

We are seeking a highly capable and customer-focused Software Field Services Engineer to join the NAM Secure Power Software Services team at Schneider Electric. In this role, you will lead the deployment, configuration, and support of our Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software solutions across customer environments.You will work directly with customers, project teams, and internal stakeholders to drive successful implementations, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure long-term customer success. This position requires a strong technical foundation, the ability to operate independently, and a proactive approach to improving delivery consistency and quality.What will you do?Software Deployment & Technical ExpertiseLead installation, configuration, and commissioning of DCIM software solutions (including DCE, NetBotz, and related platforms) in both remote and on-site environmentsTake ownership of assigned projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfactionProvide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of deployment issues, including system performance and configuration challengesApply strong working knowledge of DCIM architecture and supporting infrastructure to ensure excellent service deliveryCustomer Engagement & EnablementServe as a primary technical point of contact during implementationsConduct customer training sessions and provide guidance on best practices, system usage, and ongoing maintenanceBuild strong customer relationships by demonstrating professionalism, technical credibility, and responsivenessDocumentation & Knowledge SharingDevelop and maintain documentation for deployments, configurations, and issue resolutionContribute to internal knowledge bases and standardization efforts to improve team efficiency and consistencyProvide feedback on recurring issues and opportunities for process or product improvementTravelTravel to customer sites as required to support complex deployments, troubleshooting, or escalationsTypical travel averages ~50%, with occasional peaks depending on project needsWhat are the key skills we are looking for?Technical SkillsProven experience in software deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting in customer-facing environmentsWorking knowledge of DCIM tools (e.g., Data Center Expert, IT Advisor, NetBotz) or similar enterprise monitoring platformsExperience with:Networking fundamentals Communication protocols such as Modbus and SNMP Microsoft Office suite for documentation, reporting, and customer communicationExperience with system integrations and APIs is a strong plusCommunication & Customer SkillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholdersComfortable leading customer discussions related to implementation and technical topicsWork StyleSelf-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverablesStrong team collaboration skills with the ability to contribute independentlyDetail-oriented with a focus on quality and customer satisfactionWhat qualifications will make you successful?Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of related experience in Software products for data centersApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, ongoing basis. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.
