Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to support their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role offers approximately 24-30 hours per week with a schedule that primarily focuses on weekday and weekend pharmacy hours. The ideal candidate will be licensed in Illinois and have experience working in a retail pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities:
- Fill, check, and verify prescriptions with accuracy and attention to detail
- Provide professional patient counseling and medication guidance
- Manage emergency orders on Sundays as required
- Participate in on-call rotation with compensation during on-call hours
- Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations and policies
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Sunday: Emergency orders only, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM on-call
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Pharmacy License required
- PharmD degree preferred
- Experience with PioneerRx software preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Commitment to accuracy and patient safety
