Tracking completion of the teams tasks and supporting training activitiesServices and maintains machines on siteEnsures preventive maintenance is performedEnsures machine breakdowns are repairedEnsures current and accurate record of maintenanceEnsures all relevant manufacturer modifications and updates are performed/installedEnsures a sound spare part warehouseMaintains good housekeepingEnsures availability of spare partsSupervises contractors on siteEnsures all employees understand and follow company policies and proceduresLeading the TeamEnsures team works together as efficiently as possibleAssesses training needs of staff and ensures execution of trainingEnsures staff are brought in to cover absenteeism and holidaysCorrectly records time and attendance of teamDevelop training plans and supports activitiesSupervises personal needs (time off requests, tools ect)What Makes You GreatFour year degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience preferredMinimum four years of work experience at ALPLA or similar industry requiredExperience with Computer Control Systems on machinesExperience in working with hydraulic and pneumatic systemsHands on experience running busy engineering departmentAt least 3 years of supervisory experienceGood organizational skillsGood leadership skillsThorough understanding of technical aspects of different types of equipmentPhysical DemandsFrequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hearOccasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlOccasionally lift and/or move up to 30 poundsThe noise level in the work environment is usually lowIt is required to act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by adhering to all ALPLA policies and procedures and Safety Standards (OSHA).#Salaried #LimaALPLA is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind: ALPLA is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
