Utilizing the nursing process, functions primarily in direct patient care and coordinating that care.Education and Training:Associate's degree or Bachelors in healthcare administration or equivalent college coursework preferred.Licensures/Certifications:Current Washington State RN license; Current American Heart Association ACLS and BLS/CPR certification card on hire or within orientation period.Experience:Two - five years of acute care experienceSkills and Abilities:Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent phone etiquette, strong interpersonal skills. Computer skills, including electronic medical records systems.Duties and Responsibilities:Use skills in nursing assessment to include peri-operative education and care.Recognizing post anesthesia and post-operative complications.Promotes positive teamwork with departmental staff, surgeons, physicians, anesthesia, and all departmental personnel.Participates in maintaining a safe patient care environment.
