Distribution Clerk

Summary: Compile order and shipping data by performing the following duties. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Utilize computers to process orders, communicate load status, and track information. Prepare documents to support the operation including separation of POS. Do inventory counts in the warehouse, using a Triceps hand held device making adjustment to the inventory. Do associates weekly schedule in VLM and review VLM reports daily - Identify infractions. Conduct outstanding customer service by answering the phones in a professional manner, locating people, using the PA system, etc. Complete any additional responsibilities assigned by the Receiving/Shipping Supervisor. Cross training required. Follows company's attendance policy by coming to work on time and when scheduled. Follows company's safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Excel spreadsheet software and Triceps System order processing systems, VLM time system

Certificates and Licenses: Ability to pass Industrial Equipment Certification for cross training purposes
