Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN – PCU

Schedule

3x12 hour rotating shifts (days/nights); weekdays and some weekends; rotating holiday coverage required.

Assignment Details

36 hours per week; floating to other units within the organization may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience (cardiac experience preferred).
• Prior telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience preferred.
• Valid RN license (compact or state) is required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS preferred.
• Experience in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management.
• Skills in IV starts and peripheral line care.
• Knowledge of conscious sedation support and non-invasive airway management.
• Proficient in oxygen administration and use of Rapid Response/Code teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients in a progressive care setting focusing on cardiac conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Participate in patient care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatments.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Flu vaccine is required (medical exemptions only). Candidates must complete fingerprinting as part of the onboarding process.
