Description We’re seeking a Lead Carpenter to take ownership of high-end residential remodeling projects in the field. This role is for someone who produces clean, precise work, leads with intention, and values a thoughtful, team-first approach to building. You’re comfortable operating at a lead level—managing workflow, guiding others, and delivering consistent, high-quality results. What You’ll Do Lead day-to-day execution of high-end residential remodeling projects Perform and oversee finish and rough carpentry with strong attention to detail Perform job site setup, cleanup, and debris removal as needed Coordinate closely with project management, design, and trade partners Work with the Designer to ensure materials and finishes align with plans and client expectations Participate in production and design meetings as needed Assist the Production Manager with take-offs for larger projects Maintain project flow—anticipating challenges and keeping work on track Serve as a steady, professional presence for clients during construction Lead by example—mentor, support, and help develop less experienced carpenters Uphold job site standards for organization, safety, and craftsmanship What You Bring 5–10+ years of residential carpentry experience, with leadership on active job sites Strong finish carpentry skills and an eye for detail Ability to read and interpret construction plans, think ahead in sequencing and execution, and make thoughtful adjustments in real time while maintaining project flow Clear communication and a calm, solutions-oriented approach A sense of ownership—you care about the outcome A mentor’s mindset, with the ability to provide thoughtful guidance through active listening and hands‑on teaching Comfort working in an environment where collaboration and accountability matter Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation $38–$45/hour , based on experience and leadership capability 401(k) with company match Education & training opportunities Year‑round employment with a clear path for growth Why Godfrey Design-Build At Godfrey Design-Build, we’re intentional about the kind of team we’re building.
