Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

$2227.68/week - Job Summary: Provides comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department, including triage, treatment, and discharge procedures for a diverse patient population. The role involves responding to urgent medical situations and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Perform accurate triage assessments and communicate abnormal signs or symptoms to the Emergency MD promptly. Review, prioritize, and complete patient orders efficiently to ensure timely care. Educate patients and families on medication side effects and discharge instructions. Recognize symptoms of cardiac, respiratory distress, and other emergencies, initiating appropriate nursing interventions. Administer medications, IV therapy, and maintain indwelling devices following safety protocols. Respond effectively during Code Blue, Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma activations, managing critical situations with competence. Qualifications: Current RN license in the practicing state. Minimum of two years recent experience in an emergency or acute care setting. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider. Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Ability to interpret ECG rhythms and manage life-threatening emergencies.
