Demonstrates proper technique for injection of radiopharmaceuticals under the American College of Radiology guidelines./liliDemonstrates the ability to recognize clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams while taking appropriate action to resolve them and produce the most desirable outcome./liliCorrectly identifies patients and their files by utilizing electronic medical records and picture archiving/communication systems while ensuring a high degree of accuracy./liliDemonstrates the effective use of radiation protection procedures with shielding, collimation devices, and protective shielding per supervisor observation. Maintains exposure reading within the ALARA limits./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications:/pulliEducation: Associate Degree Nuclear Medicine Graduate of an accredited school/program of Nuclear Medicine Technology./liliLicensure: Registered State Inspector - Virginia Within 3 Months Must be licensed as required by the state of employment if employed at an Inova Health System free-standing Imaging Center not affiliated with one of Inovas hospitals. Must possess a state Nuclear Medicine Tech license if it is required by the state of employment and if employed at an Inova free-standing Imaging Center not affiliated with one of Inovas Hospitals./liliCertification: CNMT or ARRT-N obtained within one year of hire date.
