Adjunct Instructor of Veterinary Technology

Compensation: $778 per credit hour. Remote or hybrid work may be approved for adjunct employees within NewMexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Texas; remote work outside the United States is not permitted. Pay is $778 per credit hour (or hourly rate when applicable) and is processed bi‑weekly. Adjunct faculty may teach up to 9 credit hours per semester unless approved by the Vice‑President of Learning and the Vice‑President of HR/Legal. Adjunct faculty teaching one credit or more are eligible for a tuition waiver of up to four credit hours per semester and may transfer the waiver to a qualified family member. Adjustments for ERB contributions apply for those teaching three or more credit hours and all taxes and social security are withheld as required. Responsibilities Teach college‑level courses and/or labs in the qualified discipline. Develop and revise instructional materials. Present material in an organized manner. Evaluate student learning and maintain accurate records. Teach classes scheduled during day, evening, weekend, and online sessions as assigned across main and satellite campuses. Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each assigned course. Participate in Adjunct Professional Development activities. Qualifications Associate’s Degree from an AVMA Accredited Veterinary Technology Program or a DVM/VMD. Preference for candidates with prior teaching experience. Experience teaching traditional face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online courses and proficiency with the College’s Canvas LMS and other technology‑enhanced curriculum tools. Access to home internet, a personal computer, and a telephone. Skill and willingness to learn and use multiple technology platforms for student communication.
