Windows File and Print Server Admin

Staffing the Universe

Windows File and Print Server Admin Responsibilities Include: Network File Services (scoped to United States locations only): Creating new shared folders Modifying security on existing shared folders Renaming existing shared folders Moving existing shared folders Deleting existing shared folders First level support for locating missing folders or files (move to proper location, restore from previous versions, etc.) Second level support for restoring missing folder or files (utilizing backup & recovery tool) Data migration planning and execution as necessary Data Access Governance Administration (StealthBits) Managing folder ownership Managing entitlement reviews Follow-up on file system reports Open Access Direct Permissions Broken Inheritance Activity Follow-up on Active Directory reports Computers Groups Users Intra-region user moves (example - moving P: drive for moves between PHX and FLG) Network Print Services (scoped to all Gore locations globally): Creating new network printers (including DNS/IPAM work) Modifying existing network printers Deleting existing network printers Maintaining printer drives (update versions, etc.) Monitoring printers with errors Print server administration Ownership of Printer Directory (proprietary web-application for printer location and installation) Cleanup/standardization of printer properties/information Support & Administration of Secure Printing Solution Coordinating installation on new devices Coordinating hardware support as necessary Version upgrades Licensing/Renewals Configuration Reporting Third-level support Support & Administration of Multi-Function Printer/Copiers Device Configuration Security LDAP Directory Access Scan to Email Scan to Network Print Settings Network & Protocol Configuration Maintenance of Device Configuration Templates Maintenance of Device Firmware Third-level support Provide backup support for Server Administrator contractor Qualifications: 3 to 5 years of experience supporting Windows file services and permissions (NTFS permissions and Windows file sharing) 3 to 5 years of experience supporting Windows Distributed File Systems (Client) 3 to 5 years of experience supporting Windows print servers and print queues 3 to 5 years administering Microsoft Active Directory Experience performing Windows Server administration Experience supporting VMware VSphere Infrastructure Experience administering DNS in a Windows or IPAM environment Experience supporting network printers and multi-function printer/copiers Experience with Network Attached Storage (NAS) arrays Experience supporting enterprise applications, including: Configuring the application Working with third-party support Installing version upgrades Maintaining licensing & renewals Reporting Interfacing with internal teams on the use of the application Experience working with global teams across time zones and languages Must be able to work some weekends in the support of maintenance activities Staffing the Universe
