Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region, providing compassionate and expert respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients. This role involves delivering a full range of respiratory therapies under physician orders, including oxygen and aerosol therapies, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECGs, and mechanical ventilation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results to develop and administer respiratory therapy treatment plans.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and manage respiratory equipment safely and effectively.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy, adjusting treatments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Lead and direct respiratory therapy aides and technicians, ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings and discharge planning, including patient and caregiver education on home exercise and therapy programs.
• Contribute to departmental policy development, training programs, and workflow coordination.

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Minimum of two years of acute care respiratory therapy experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Current unrestricted state respiratory care practitioner license.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required upon hire; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required within one year.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of respiratory care theories and clinical skills, including age-specific treatment modalities.
• Proficiency with respiratory therapy equipment and electronic medical records.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with healthcare teams, patients, and families.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate leadership in a fast-paced environment.

This position offers a 0.9 FTE schedule with shifts from 0600 to 1830 and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment. The role supports a positive work environment focused on quality patient-centered care and professional growth.
