Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Shifts | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing for a complex patient population including trauma (head, chest, abdominal, orthopedic), stroke, burns, and general medical/surgical ICU patients at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2–3
• Manage and titrate all common ICU drips, including vasoactive and sedation medications
• Manage ventilated patients and perform ongoing respiratory assessment in collaboration with Respiratory Therapy; RNs must be comfortable with vent management
• Monitor and manage arterial lines, central lines, EVDs, and ICP monitoring devices
• Operate and interpret continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) as applicable
• Read and interpret EKG rhythms independently using Phillips central monitors and intervene as clinically indicated

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Demonstrated experience with arterial lines, central lines, and medication titration
• Candidates must comply with a drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the standard contract rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification preferred but not required
• Prior experience with CRRT
• Experience with EVD and ICP monitoring
• Background in burn care or complex trauma ICU environments
