Position Overview

Auritas is seeking a Lead Architect to drive the vision, architecture, development, and delivery of
innovative solutions built on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). This highly strategic
and technical leadership role combines the responsibilities of Solution Architect, Product Owner,
Technical Lead, and People Leader to oversee the complete product lifecycle from concept and
design through development, deployment, enhancement, and long-term growth.

The Lead Architect will be responsible for defining product strategy, leading architecture decisions,
managing development teams, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable,
secure, and high-performing SAP BTP solutions. This individual will collaborate closely with
customers, stakeholders, product teams, and executive leadership to align product capabilities with
business objectives while maintaining technical excellence and development best practices.

The employee's performance will be evaluated based on their ability to consistently produce accurate,
high-quality work, complete assigned responsibilities within established timeframes, demonstrate
leadership and accountability, and effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Ownership

• Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for SAP BTP solutions.

• Identify product growth opportunities and recommend strategic enhancements.

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, customers, and development

teams.

• Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical

specifications.

• Prioritize product features, capabilities, and backlog items to align with strategic objectives.

• Manage the complete product lifecycle from planning and design through deployment and

continuous improvement.

• Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and

customer needs.

• Review customer feedback and market trends to guide future product enhancements and

innovation initiatives.

• Update and maintain product roadmaps based on evolving business requirements and market

conditions.

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Design and govern the overall architecture of SAP BTP applications, ensuring scalability,
security, performance, and maintainability.
• Establish and enforce architectural standards, development frameworks, and technical best
practices.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards and governance requirements.
• Collaborate with functional designers and business analysts to ensure solution designs meet
user experience, testing, and business requirements.
• Conduct ongoing architectural reviews and introduce adjustments as necessary to support
evolving business and technical needs.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovations that improve product
functionality, efficiency, and performance.
• Assess current tools, platforms, and development methodologies to drive continuous
improvement.

Development Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the design, development, testing, integration, and deployment of SAP BTP applications.
• Utilize SAP BTP capabilities to maximize business value, user experience, and operational
efficiency.
• Oversee development activities, including coding standards, peer reviews, testing,
deployment, and release management.
• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to development standards and
architectural guidelines.
• Ensure implementation of unit testing and quality assurance processes throughout
development lifecycles.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to develop comprehensive testing strategies
including functional, integration, performance, and security testing.
• Monitor development progress and address technical challenges and roadblocks proactively.
• Ensure software quality through the establishment of development best practices, governance
standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Agile Delivery & Project Management

• Lead sprint planning, execution, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and release planning activities.
• Facilitate daily standups and support Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
• Manage project timelines, priorities, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
• Monitor project dashboards and performance metrics to ensure successful project execution.
• Adjust project plans and priorities based on stakeholder feedback, business needs, and team performance.
• Review and update risk management plans and mitigation strategies regularly.

Leadership, Team Management & Mentorship

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of developers, architects, and technical professionals.
• Conduct onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management activities.
• Facilitate weekly team meetings to review progress, address issues, and strengthen collaboration.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to support professional growth and performance improvement.
• Participate in staffing decisions, resource planning, succession planning, and workforce development initiatives.
• Approve vacation requests and manage team capacity to ensure project deliverables remain on track.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Communicate effectively with executive leadership, customers, business stakeholders, and
technical teams.
• Lead stakeholder review sessions and strategic planning discussions.
• Provide regular status updates regarding project progress, risks, and key decisions.
• Facilitate stakeholder feedback sessions to gather insights and drive product improvements.
• Build strong relationships across functional and technical teams to support successful delivery
and adoption.

Governance, Compliance & Quality

• Ensure solutions comply with applicable security standards, regulatory requirements, and
governance policies.
• Oversee quality assurance reviews, audits, and compliance assessments.
• Monitor testing outcomes and prioritize remediation efforts based on business impact and risk.
• Maintain comprehensive project and product documentation to support operational excellence
and future scalability.
• Establish processes to ensure long-term product sustainability and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related
field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP architecture, cloud development, and enterprise
solution delivery.
• Extensive experience designing and delivering SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP)
solutions.
• Experience leading enterprise application architecture initiatives.
• Proven experience managing product roadmaps, development teams, and software delivery
lifecycles.
• Experience working within Agile development environments including Scrum and Kanban
methodologies.
• Experience mentoring and leading technical teams.
• Experience delivering cloud-native enterprise applications and integrations.
