3-5 years Experience in role. Directs and controls the movement of materials in and out of the plant. Manages key materials related functions such as purchasing, production scheduling, inventory control and shipping and receiving.
• Daily review of customer requirements, production orders order confirmations and the creation of an appropriate weekly production schedules that will meet 100% OTD for customer orders.
• Respond to customer service requests for Lead time quotes, schedule confirmation and reschedules.
• Responsible for issuing and resolving any production order issues in a timely manner.
• Revise requisitions and request reschedule of purchase orders as necessary to compensate for rush order priorities and material shortages to meet customer request date.
• Participate in material management, cycle counts and Kaizen events.
• Participate in SIOP, maintain material forecasts and resetting of MRP parameters to maximizing the supply base for delivery, cost and quality.
• Provide the data inputs to our monthly shipment targets.
• Participate in supplier base reduction activities, cost reduction programs and lead time reduction initiatives to improve overall supply chain performance.
• Manage material inventory level to meet or exceed annual inventory management objectives.
• Maintain metrics for On-Time Delivery (OTD), Days on Hand (DOH), Premium Freight, and others as assigned.
• Be responsible for observing good business practices, protecting the interest of the company and for buying at the best possible price consistent with time, quality and quantity requirements complying with company policies and procedures.?
