Part-Time Physical Therapist

Job Summary Delivers high-quality physical therapy services with minimal supervision, per therapy principles and company policies. Develops treatment plans, supervises assistants/aides, supports case management, ensures excellent patient care, and strengthens relationships with facilities, clients, and staff.

Essential Functions

• Follow state Practice Act and supervision rules for PTs.
• Review company Policies & Procedures Manual yearly and comply.
• Complete required Medicare compliance training.
• Complete annual OSHA training and follow standards.
• Evaluate patients, confirm medical necessity, provide skilled treatment, and document clearly.
• Document goals, progress, and medical necessity ongoing.
• Complete documentation (notes, reports, charges, pre-certs) accurately and on time.
• Maintain open, respectful communication with all stakeholders.
• Attend facility meetings as directed (e.g., utilization review, infection control).
• Complete CEUs to meet state licensure requirements.
• Maintain current CPR certification per state rules.

Additional Responsibilities

• Manage time to meet productivity standards.
• Participate in and present in-services as assigned.
• Stay updated on healthcare and PT trends.
• Lead assigned center operations as agreed with Manager.
• Perform other duties/projects as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift/transfer patients safely; independently lift 50 lbs.
• Constantly walk, bend, stand, reach, and squat during shift.
• Adequate near/far vision for patient assessment and records.
• Sufficient hearing/speech to give and receive instructions.
• Ability to push wheeled equipment in facility/community.
• Fine motor skills for accurate documentation and equipment handling.

Required Credentials:
• Graduation from a physical therapist education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) or, in the case of an internationally educated physical therapist, from a non-CAPTE accredited program seeking licensure as a physical therapist, a substantially equivalent education.
