Job Description As a Security Officer Front Desk Administration in Detroit, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in an educational setting, you will welcome students, visitors, and staff while supporting access control and badge procedures. You will maintain a professional presence, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.40 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 11:00 PMFri03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PMSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and security-related protocols at the front desk. Greet visitors professionally, verify identification and appointments as applicable, issue visitor credentials, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with location requirements. Monitor front desk activity, alarms, communications, and access points; report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures. Provide directions and general campus information while maintaining a professional, welcoming presence that helps to deter unauthorized access. Minimum Requirements: Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
