Job Description The CV Invasive Specialist performs the technical duties necessary for cardiac catheterization procedures, supporting clinical teams in patient care during cardiovascular interventions. Shift Details Full‑time (40 hrs/week). 10‑hour days (4/10’s). Unit / Location Saint Joseph Hospital, Denver, Colorado. Responsibilities Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures, including patient care under RN supervision. Assists physicians with radiological imaging, acts as scrub assistant, and maintains sterile conditions during procedures. Operates imaging equipment, monitors procedure images, and documents events in the control room. Educates patients and families regarding the procedure, expectations, and pre‑ and post‑procedure care. Maintains unit cleanliness, order, and appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures. Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation per departmental standards, accurately recording productivity information. Reads and interprets patient information, monitors, and equipment displays; communicates effectively with care providers, patients, and visitors, especially in emergencies. Exhibits manual dexterity and computer use for documentation; lifts, carries, and transports supplies and equipment, including heavy items, and assists with patient ambulation; may stand for extended periods. Minimum Qualifications High‑school diploma or equivalent. Registered ARRT, RCIS, RCES, or registered respiratory therapist with CV‑specific certification; alternatively registered cardiovascular invasive technologist RCIS within 18 months of hire. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS‑HCP). ACLS and surgical technologist license with DORA obtained within 3 months of hire in Colorado. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree. Two (2) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab. Five (5) or more years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab (for higher‑level role). Bachelor’s degree or certification (for higher‑level role). Four (4) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab (for higher‑level role).
