Position duration: Initial appointments one semester to one year. Position Description Lecturer – Operations and Information Technology Management – Haas School of Business. The Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley is generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach courses in Operations and Information Technology Management. The pool will remain in place for one year. UC lecturers are academic appointees and are represented by an exclusive bargaining agent, University Council – American Federation of Teachers (UC-AFT). This position is represented by the bargaining unit. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. General Duties Holding office hours Assigning grades Advising students Preparing course materials Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application) A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent international degree at the time of application. Additional qualifications (required at time of start) A minimum of four years in the professional practice in a relevant field to the course being taught. Preferred qualifications A minimum of two years’ experience in the professional practice in the Operations and Information Technology Management field at a business, government or not‑for‑profit organization by the start date.
