New Way Trucks is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to help keep our operations running smoothly at our Booneville, MS location. Your Role in Our Mission: Analyze supply chain data to spot trends, forecast future demand, and help make sure the right parts get where they need to be—on time. Use tools like MRP, non-MRP, and KANBAN to plan inventory and keep material flow running smoothly Lead projects related to purchasing—whether that’s bringing new suppliers on board or improving performance with existing ones Source parts that are moderately priced and straightforward, while evaluating suppliers on quality, cost, and reliability. Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers that make up about 20% of our annual spend—striking a balance between cost savings and strong relationships. Identify and flag supply chain risks early and help develop proactive solutions to avoid disruption. Collaborate with teams across production, logistics, and procurement to make sure purchasing aligns with the bigger picture. Ensure our buying practices meet company policies, industry standards, and compliance requirements. Use tools like Excel and Power BI to uncover insights and support smart, data-driven decisions. To Perform this Job Successfully: College coursework or degree in supply chain preferred, business, or a related field is a plus Comfortable using Excel; bonus if you’ve used MRP systems like Epicor Strong organization and communication skills Willingness to learn and grow with a team Interest in manufacturing, problem-solving, and making things better every day Why New Way Trucks?
