At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA. With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service. Overview Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced motivated and detail-oriented Senior Recruiter to join our team and play a key role in scaling a variety of teams across G&A, Engineering and Commerical Operations. This temporary role will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for a mix of technical and business focused roles. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, collaborating closely with senior leaders and hiring managers to attract top talent, and ensure a smooth, data-driven recruitment process. This role requires experience and an understanding of both technical and business positions, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for finding top talent. This is a 6 month full time temporary role based in our San Carlos or Santa Cruz office and expected to be onsite at least 3 days a week. Responsibilities Build and maintain a scalable recruiting strategy across teams you support and manage full-cycle recruiting efforts and offer negotiations Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to build targeted talent pipeline Create and post compelling, accurate job descriptions aligned with team needs Source and screen candidates for a wide variety of roles across software, engineering, operations, and customer support roles Conduct structured interviews and coordinate technical assessments Follow up with passive candidates and nurture long-term pipelines for hard-to-fill roles Provide regular updates on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, and hiring trends Required Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant recruiting experience Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical job requirements Experience with applicant tracking systems and crms Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solving Ability to be in person in our Santa Cruz or San Carlos, CA office 3+ days per week Desired Experience with iCIMS ATS system Experience with Gem Background in aerospace, high-tech or start-up industries This is a temporary role, anticipated to last 6 months. The target base pay for this position is $49- $65/hr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
