Interim Accounting Manager

Position Title: Accounting Manager - Hybrid

Location: Chester County, PA
Pay: ~$75/HR


A leading global organization in the life sciences industry is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager to take ownership of the month-end close process. This role is essential for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while overseeing key accounting functions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong initiative, and communicates proactively without waiting for direction. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to join a reputable company offering a flexible hybrid schedule-work from home 2-3 days per week. Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the month-end close process.
• Ensure all journal entries and adjustments are completed.
• Perform consolidations
• Finalize and deliver accurate financial reports
• Prepare and review accruals during the last week of each month to ensure a smooth close.
• Oversee invoice processing and treasury functions
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8+ years of experience in month-end close
• Strong knowledge of revenue accounting, accruals, and reconciliations
• Proven ability to work independently and proactively communicate across teams
• Go-getter that doesn't wait for people to give permission.
• Experience with large enterprise ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
