Description
- Responsible for the safe keeping of the vessel assigned.
- Responsible to record and report any maintenance issues to your supervisor
- Responsible for all housekeeping of the vessel
- Work a 12-hour shift, 20/10 rotating schedule from the required field location
- Must be able to step from the vessel to the dock
- Must be able to pull handle lines for docking and disembarking
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and climb to perform maintenance, minor repairs, and cleaning.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Participates in Safety and Environmental initiatives that will contribute to compliance of State/Federal regulations and improve existing Company programs.
Requirements
- At a minimum - USCG - Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels Captain's License; Inland
- Must have a valid TWIC Card
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience
- Ability to comply with safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with little to no supervision.
- Must be reliable and motivated.
- Knowledge of operation of various types of marine equipment, tools, and devices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
- Competencies: stress management/composure, teamwork, results driven
Summary
This position is accountable for safe operation of company owned crew boat and will direct the day-to-day operations as well as coordinate onboard activities including operating engines, steering, and maintaining and repairing the vessel.
