Board Certified - Nurse Practitioner

Job Details:
Provide advanced clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients with a focus on compassionate, patient-first care
Assist in cardiac surgeries, including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting when needed
Manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patient care, including rounding and evaluation of CVICU, floor, and clinic patients
Participate in 2 full-day clinics weekly and see additional patients as needed on other days
Rotate through operating room coverage Monday through Friday
Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and healthcare professionals in a collegial, multidisciplinary environment
Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests
Develop and implement appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on patient outcomes
Order medications and write prescriptions in compliance with regulatory policies
Perform bedside procedures as appropriate to the patient population
Maintain 1:4-5 weekday call and 1:4-5 weekend call rotation
Must have minimum 3+ years cardiac or cardiovascular surgery experience with ICU patient management
Experience with endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting required
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master's degree in Nursing
Certification by ANCC or AANPCB required
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Active Colorado state license with full prescriptive authority and unrestricted DEA license
