7603 Bluff Point Dr, Houston, TX 77086, USA Job Description Posted Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 6:00 AM Reads work order and drawings for product specifications, such as dimension and tolerances Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, boring machines, drill press, and grinders, to machine forgings to specifications, following blueprints, and/or sketches applying knowledge of machining methods For this position, day-to-day responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to: Set up and operate machine shop equipment Observe operation of machine and follow Safety rules Verify dimensions using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, etc. Desired Requirements Must be able to read and understand work orders, drawings, and other written instructions Must have knowledge of metal characteristics and machining methods Competency Minimum one (1) year machine shop experience desired Minimum one (1) year of Manual Lathe and / or VTL experience required Desired Qualifications High School Diploma #J-18808-Ljbffr Smithvalves
