Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, as you'll be providing home care services, which entails flexibility and adaptability as you travel to meet patients in their residences. You will collaborate closely with a small team of physical therapists and support staff, ensuring seamless communication and high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to create individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs and recovery goals.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, ensuring that you dedicate adequate time for each session, with a focus on one-on-one care.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols, utilizing a variety of modalities and manual therapy techniques to enhance patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatment techniques, and at-home exercises to promote independence.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting care plans as necessary to reflect changes in their condition.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively, ensuring comprehensive support across disciplines.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process, providing them with the tools and inspiration they need to achieve their recovery goals.
• Support health promotion and disease prevention initiatives by encouraging lifestyle changes related to nutrition, physical activity, and injury prevention.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patients range from athletes aiming to return to their pre-injury performance to seniors focused on maintaining mobility and independence. Each patient's rehabilitation path will be tailored to their unique needs, enabling you to make a real difference in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher education level, preferably a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• Demonstrated experience (minimum of 2 years) in a clinical setting, specifically within orthopedic outpatient care.
• Strong skills in manual therapy and proficiency in developing and implementing customized exercise protocols for varied patient demographics.
• Proficient use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for effective documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in home health environments is highly advantageous.
• A background in treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and familiarity with current rehabilitation technologies.
• Strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary in the range of USD 120,000 to 140,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
