Our customers and community members know that they can rely on us for Legendary Service and quality products.Pay: $30.31-$35.01 an hourThe Safety and Risk Lead for PARR will perform administrative tasks and services to support the Safety Department in strengthening the Company's safety culture. The Safety and Risk Lead works collaboratively with all Lumber, Manufacturing, and Warehouse Managers, Sales Managers, Facilities, Fleet, and Human Resources assisting and supporting the development and implementation of risk control initiatives to mitigate loss and impact to PARR and all employees. This role is vital to fulfilling our company mission of Legendary Service Through Teamwork.The Safety and Risk Lead reports directly to the Safety and Risk Manager and works closely with HR, Fleet, Facilities, location Managers, and employees.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProgram ManagementManage Motiv safety responseOversee Amphibious Medic onsite programOversee Redwing safety footwear programFacilitiesResponsible for managing Unifirst contract for restocking first aid supplies and AED monthly checksManage the communications and activities of the Safety committeesPerform incident reviews with location managers and upper management, if presentHRReceive and process all Workers Compensation claims, and all that those entailFollow up on all employee injuries with manager and employeeWork with location manager to create a modified job offer for all injured employees to mitigate time loss claimsMaintain and audit OSHA 300/301/300A dataFleetReceive and process all Property/Auto/GL claims; follow up with insurance company or yard manager as neededDSC and FSC meeting facilitator; includes creating the presentation for the committee membersInput driver and forklift operator points into UKG and send out point notification to employee and their managers and/or supervisorsDocument best practices and workflow steps to support onboarding, cross-training, and operational efficiencyPerform other related duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAbility to speak, write, and read English requiredClass C driver’s license and must have and maintain a good driving record requiredMust be able to type 40+ WPMProficiency in Word, Excel, and OutlookMust be able to operate personal computer, telephone, photocopier, fax machine, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the jobShoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and made of leather or composite material requiredInterpersonal SkillsAbility to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment.Ability and willingness to identify processes, tools and/or procedures that may be improved upon to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customers.Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees at a high skill level and speak effectively in front of groups.
