DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS

Skilled Nursing Facility | Wiregrass Region, Southeast Alabama

A well-established long-term care and skilled nursing facility within commuting distance of the Dothan area is seeking an experienced Director of Admissions to lead its admissions and census development efforts.

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving census growth, managing the full admissions process, and building strong referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, and the community.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing all aspects of the admissions process from inquiry through move-in

• Developing and maintaining referral source relationships to support census goals

• Coordinating with clinical, business office, and interdisciplinary teams on admission decisions

• Conducting tours, responding to inquiries, and guiding families with professionalism and compassion

• Verifying insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care benefits and payer sources

• Tracking and reporting census, conversion, and referral data

Qualifications:

• Prior admissions, marketing, or census development experience in skilled nursing or long-term care strongly preferred

• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care coverage

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills

• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
