The role combines technical leadership, hands-on development, finance systems expertise, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate leads delivery, mentors engineers, partners with CFOs and Controllers, and drives modernization across .NET, SQL Server, Azure, Azure DevOps, and SAP-integrated finance applications. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $90.00 to $100.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities: Serve as technical lead and trusted advisor for Finance applications. Partner with Controllers, CFOs, Product Owners, and Finance stakeholders. Translate technical concepts into business terms for non-technical audiences. Apply accounting concepts to explain solutions, prioritize work, and enforce delivery accountability. Discuss financial controls, GRC, SOX, General Ledger, and finance processes. Lead and mentor development teams while remaining hands-on. Own delivery estimates, planning, and realistic timelines with capacity forecasts. Review code, approve pull requests, and oversee Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. Own deployments and release management. Expand and mature the Architecture practice and operate as a Solutions Architect. Create and maintain roadmaps, architecture diagrams, future-state designs, and modernization strategies. Sign off on architectural decisions and technical designs. Re-architect legacy apps to improve data quality, scalability, self-service, security, and operations. Support application modernization, lift-and-shift, and cloud hardening. Experience Requirements: Proven experience as a Tech Lead with architecture responsibilities. Hands-on development with C#.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML/CSS. Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with MudBlazor or similar UI frameworks for business apps. Mandatory SAP experience with strong understanding of SAP architecture and integrations (ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA). Deep knowledge of Finance and Accounting domains and processes. History leading modernization and cloud initiatives. Effective communication with CFOs, Controllers, Product Owners, and finance stakeholders. Ownership mentality with accountability for team delivery. Forward-thinking approach to AI and emerging technologies.
