Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Rehab

Join our dynamic team in the Inpatient Rehab Unit. This unit focuses on delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to help patients achieve functional improvements and independence.

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: 35
• Patient Ratios: 5-7:1
• Staffing Description: Unit secretaries and tech availability, with typically 2-4 techs based on census
• Type of Equipment: Vitals machines, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, Bladder scanners
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend
• Floating Policy: May be floated to other Med Surg departments
• Patient Experience Requirements: Rehabilitation experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, including IVs and tube feeding
• Conduct bladder scans and provide tracheostomy care
• Perform bladder irrigation and Foley catheterization
• Manage blood administration procedures

Qualifications

Must Have:

• Rehabilitation experience
• BLS certification
• Virginia nursing license

Preferred:

• Medical-Surgical experience
• Advanced skills not required

Dress Code

Solid navy blue or white scrubs are required.

Awards and Recognition

Experience a collaborative environment with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiatrists, physician assistants, and neuropsychologists, to support patient goals towards functional independence.
