As an Access Control Officer at a healthcare location, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by managing visitor and employee access, issuing and monitoring badges, and responding to access-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.97 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Tue: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Wed: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Thur: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific access‑control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor and control access to healthcare facilities, restricted areas, and designated entry points in accordance with site‑specific procedures. Verify identification, credentials, and visitor authorization; issue visitor passes and maintain accurate access‑related records as required. Respond to access‑control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions. Minimum Requirements: Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control/badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
