Senior Commercial Counsel

Larson Maddox has partnered with a high-growth, private equity-backed company seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to join its legal team. This attorney will serve as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders, supporting complex commercial transactions and helping drive key business initiatives across a growing organization.

This is an opportunity for a commercially minded attorney who enjoys partnering closely with the business, negotiating sophisticated agreements, and providing practical legal guidance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on contractual and commercial matters.
• Support customer, vendor, and strategic partnership transactions.
• Provide pragmatic, business-focused legal guidance that balances risk and commercial objectives.
• Assist in developing and improving contract templates, playbooks, and internal processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization to support strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to special projects and broader corporate priorities as needed.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active U.S. bar membership.
• 8+ years of legal experience with significant commercial contracting expertise.
• Strong experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements.
• Exceptional business judgment and ability to provide practical legal advice.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Prior in-house experience preferred.
• Experience supporting a technology, software, or other high-growth business is a plus.
