Access Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Case Management for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Case Management Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel 7p-7:30a and every 3rd weekend Epic exp Ideally they have an emergency or critical care background. Work in a call center Phone conversations with providers mainly and sometimes nurses. Our main role is to receive calls (requests) from smaller hospitals about a patient they don’t feel they can manage. The call is a request for a specialist consult or transfer to a larger facility. At times the smaller hospitals have a good idea of what they need and other times we have to critically think and put the puzzle pieces together. The nature of the job is sporadic- it can be slow or overwhelming. Usually nurses with those backgrounds are used to that sort of work and do well with the varying needs of the department.
