Employment Services Case Manager

PURPOSE/SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITYTo provide career advising, case management, job development, and community outreach with refugee and other eligible populationsESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & COMPETENCIESProvides case management including assessment, testing, counseling, daily interaction with clients and follow upActively engages in job development by creating and maintain employer relationships that support successful placement and retentionAssists with job placement and continues to monitor job retentionMaintains client-related documentation standards by preparing and completing in a timely manner all required records and reports for all assigned clients. (Computerized case notes, MIS documentation, Individual Service Strategy (ISS) completion, recording hours, and testing)Represents the agency professionally with stakeholders and collaboratorsClassroom instruction: develops and leads employment-related classroom activities, workshopsAssists clients with resume preparation, cover letters, and interview preparationWorks closely with English as Second Language Instructors/Volunteer Tutors and volunteer mentors to support client servicesWorks closely with clients on barrier removal (problems preventing the clients from obtaining and retaining employment), one-on-one and/or in group settingsMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety guidelinesBachelor’s Degree in human services related field required. Master’s in social work, counseling, or related field preferred.Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and databasesMust have excellent organizational skills to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environmentExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work well with a diverse population of clientsMultilingual preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County
