Senior Electrical Field Leader – Commercial & Industrial Projects | PFD Electric, LLC

Job Overview:

• Salary/Pay Rate: $80,000 - $90,000 base per year (with bonus opportunities)

The Opportunity:

You will serve as a high-level field leader executing complex commercial and industrial electrical work across Arizona. Operating with full autonomy, you will solve technical challenges, run crews, and mentor developing electricians on active job sites. This role provides direct access to leadership and clear pathways for advancement into General Foreman or Superintendent positions.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Perform complex installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance on 480V, 277/120V, and three-phase power systems.
• Plan equipment, material, and labor needs weeks in advance to maintain high field productivity and prevent delays.
• Lead field crews and guide apprentices to ensure work complies with NEC, OSHA, and PFD quality standards.
• Install and troubleshoot motor controls, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, PLC I/O, and specialized control wiring.
• Oversee conduit runs, cable trays, wire pulls, terminations, and system commissioning across active facilities.
• Identify field condition changes early to protect job margins and communicate potential change orders.
• Utilize field software like BuildOps and Slack to log time, process updates, upload photos, and track materials.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction.
• Proven history operating as a Foreman, Lead Journeyman, General Foreman, or field crew leader.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills in motor controls, MCCs, VFDs, switchgear, and complex control circuits.
• Strong ability to independently read plans, one-lines, schematics, and execute work from layout to turnover.
• Valid OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, valid driver's license, and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• 15 or more years of hands-on experience in the electrical trade.
• Background working in active industrial, manufacturing, food & beverage, or process facilities.
• Proficiency using trade technology such as BuildOps, ServiceTitan, Procore, or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
