This state-of-the-art site will produce advanced products, including high-speed connectors, cables, and optical devices.About the RoleWe are looking for a Sourcing Engineer – Machinery Category to manage sourcing activities for machinery, automation equipment, tooling, and CAPEX projects across Molex Vietnam factories. This role plays a key part in optimizing cost, managing suppliers, and partnering with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure successful project delivery.Key Responsibilities1. Machinery & CAPEX SourcingExecute sourcing activities for machinery, automation equipment, tooling, and production assets for new line setup, expansion, and replacement projects.Manage the end-to-end CAPEX sourcing process: RFx, quotation analysis, negotiation, supplier selection, and PO execution.Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to translate technical and operational requirements into effective sourcing strategies.Evaluate supplier proposals including technical compliance, cost, lead time, FAT/SAT scope, warranty, and service support.2. Cost & Value OptimizationDrive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization covering equipment cost, installation, commissioning, spare parts, maintenance, and lifecycle costs.Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives such as supplier benchmarking, dual sourcing, localization, and specification optimization.Support iNexus / MOS project registration and savings tracking when required.3. Supplier Management & Risk ControlLead supplier sourcing, qualification, and onboarding for machinery and automation suppliers.Conduct supplier commercial and risk assessments (capability, financial health, delivery risk, after-sales support).Maintain strong supplier relationships through Supplier Business Reviews (SBRs) and performance monitoring.4. Contracting & ComplianceNegotiate complex commercial terms including pricing, payment terms, delivery milestones, penalties, warranty, and service agreements.Ensure full compliance with Molex sourcing policies, CAPEX approval processes, audit requirements, and preferred supplier frameworks.Protect confidential and sensitive business information at all times.5. Cross-functional & Global CollaborationCollaborate with Global Category Management and regional sourcing teams to align strategies and leverage supplier contracts.Support project teams during FAT, SAT, installation, and handover to ensure all commercial commitments are met.6.
