Job Description
The Registered Behavior Technician with over one year of experience plays a crucial role in delivering direct behavioral interventions to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders aged 12 years and under. Reporting to and collaborating closely with multiple Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), this role focuses on implementing evidence-based practices within an in-clinic setting. The technician utilizes specialized software tools for data collection and ensures compliance with ethical and procedural standards.
Responsibilities
- Collect and record client behavioral data using specific software tools
- Implement behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision
- Engage effectively with clients to promote positive behavioral outcomes
- Prepare and organize sessions to optimize intervention delivery
- Monitor compliance with treatment protocols and ethical guidelines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Collaborate with BCBA team members to review client progress and adjust plans
- Generate progress reports to track behavioral improvements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in behavior analysis
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Proficiency in data collection and behavior intervention methodologies
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team (Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Registered Dietician)
- Commitment to ethical practices
- Patience and problem-solving aptitude
