About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of recent CVICU experience required License: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross Must-Have: 2 years of recent experience in the field of specialty Description: This position requires compliance with holiday shifts as needed. Every other weekend commitment is mandatory. Candidates must be willing to float to other units and facilities. The role accepts either 36 or 48 hours per week. The Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit focuses on care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical conditions requiring critical care. The unit primarily manages post-operative recovery and complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring. Nurses are expected to exhibit high levels of professional competency. Additionally, there is a stepdown unit that emphasizes the care and recovery of patients following cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery. Both units are supported by a cardiovascular educator. The team prioritizes a patient-centered approach to care. Our aim is to make the patient experience pleasant and comfortable in a safe environment. An Associate degree in nursing is required for this position. AHA PALS certification is preferred for those working in a pediatric unit. Only registered nurses with a valid state license will be considered.
